Short Course

The Myponga Loop Short Course follows a 7 km course on the shared use trails within the Myponga Reservoir Reserve.

Look forward to an outstanding course – picturesque and tough, with around 450m elevation change.

A finisher’s medal can be purchased online with your registration for $8 with an additional option to pre-purchase engraving of your name and finish time for $10.

Course Details

Elevation profile
The Short Course run has approximately 65m elevation change over 7 kilometres.

Course Description
Starting in the Myponga Reserevoir Reserve adjacent to Hansen Street, you will initially head west along the shared use trails.  When you reach Eatts Street you will continue west and run the Myponga parkrun course in reverse direction, before following the trail back to glory at the Hansen Street finish line.

Toilets

Toilets can be found at the start-finish area, then at the 3.5 km and 6.5 km points on the Myponga Loop Short Course.

Cut Off Time

The Myponga Loop Short Course is open to both runners and walkers and the course will be progressively closed at a pace of 12:30 per kilometre (equivalent to a finish time of 1.5 hours).

A tail walker will follow the last participant around the course for safety reasons and to relieve marshals from their positions.

Marshals

Please be courteous to our marshals and other volunteers. Remember that they are giving up their Sunday morning to make sure that you will enjoy your run.

Presentations

Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 males and first 3 females place-getters in the Myponga Loop Short Course.

Presentations will be made at the finish line around 10:00 am.
